Jacob Pattinson is an English contemporary studio artist based in Florence, Italy. After graduating from Kingston School of Art in London, he spent over a decade leading creative teams across Europe within the Tech and Media industry. As his professional practice became increasingly analytical and data-driven, and in turn less creatively fulfilling, Jacob returned to painting in search of a more instinctive, human form of creative expression.

 

His work invites the viewer to slow down and look inward.

Through his subjects’ still, understated expressions, he explores identity as something felt rather than defined - shifting, layered, and never fully resolved.

The figures resist performance and explanation, asking what we recognise, what we project, and what remains unspoken.

In a world increasingly shaped by screens and digital faces, each painting becomes a quiet mirror, offering a moment of reflection and return to human connection.
