About
Jacob Pattinson is an English contemporary studio artist based in Florence, Italy. After graduating from Kingston School of Art in London, he spent over a decade leading creative teams across Europe within the Tech and Media industry. As his professional practice became increasingly analytical and data-driven, and in turn less creatively fulfilling, Jacob returned to painting in search of a more instinctive, human form of creative expression.

His work focuses on human behaviour and identity, exploring the emotional and psychological layers that shape how people see themselves and others.
Identity is never fully revealed or fixed. It exists in layers - some visible, others held back, still forming or carefully protected.
His subjects remain still and understated, resisting performance. Their quiet presence invites reflection rather than reaction and focusses on the tension between what is revealed and what is withheld.
Ultimately, his work reflects a quiet search for honesty, in identity, in emotion, and in what it means to be human.
